Many business people dream about taking that giant step of ownership, but few stretch their legs. For many years Randy Bueckendorf and Scott Beckett enjoyed successful careers in the construction industry. Bueckendorf worked for Brinkmann Constructors for 20 years and was an owner. Beckett worked for McCarthy for nine years and was a director. During their careers they constructed many well known, major structures in St. Louis. Their impressive list of structures includes the Lindbergh Boulevard Tunnel and the Brooks Fiber World Headquarters.

They turned in their secure future and started out on their own. Beckett Building Company LLC was founded in 2005 by Scott Beckett, principal. In June 2007, Randy Bueckendorf joined the company as principal and the name was changed to BBi Constructors. Bueckendorf and Beckett have known each other since 1979 and have been “swinging hammers together for 25 years.” As boyhood friends, they’ve matured with the same work ethic and vision. It was time to put both to the ultimate test – proving that clients and workers in the construction industry would respond to their unpretentious, efficient, honest way. History is in the making as BBi Builds.
